A group in Grasmere will be shining a light on the 'inspiring women' of Cumbria later this week.
The Grasmere Women's Institute is set to host its annual general meeting on Thursday, March 12 in the village hall at 2:00pm.
The session, as well as divulging the group's latest activity, will showcase the work of a number of women who keep St Mary's Hospice in Ulverston running.
Guest speakers Alison Alger and Melissa Dixon will explain to the audience the work that the hospice does and the role women have played in supporting the charity.
Entrance to the talk will cost £5, which includes refreshments, and, along with funds raised from a raffle, this money will be going to the hospice itself.
