A MAN has been remanded into custody for stealing property and threatening staff members at a shop in Kendal town centre.
Liam Christian, of Kirkland View, Kendal was arrested on March 5 as part of a South Lakes Police investigation into retail crime.
The 27-year-old was subsequently charged with robbery, theft and attempted theft.
He will appear at Preston Crown Court on April 5.
Throughout March, South Lakes Police will be highlighting more of the work they do on a daily basis to prevent and detect retail crime as part of Safer Business Month.
