THE final three episodes of Hairy Bikers Go West will air as normal, an ITV presenter confirmed.
Barrow-born Dave Myers was one half of the duo with Si King. They hosted food and travel TV shows together for over 20 years. Dave died on February 28 from cancer, with tributes from celebrities and figures in Cumbria pouring in after Si revealed the news on their social media.
On Friday's instalment of the ITV show Lorraine, Louise Minchin and Tyler West discussed the final episodes of the Hairy Bikers series, which airs at 7pm on Tuesdays on BBC 2 and on iPlayer.
Louise Minchin said: "The series is going to continue which is good news." Tyler West replied: "Yes the series will continue 'The Hairy Bikers Go West' - they filmed it last year, it's currently airing. It is planned to go out as normal on Tuesday. In the new episode, they visit north Wales."
According to Tyler, there is a poignant moment where Dave says at the start of the episode 'it looks like our adventures could be over.' "He fears that his illness could stop him riding his beloved motorcycles," Tyler added.
The final episodes will be set in north Wales on March 5, Bristol on March 12 and Devon/Dorset on March 19.
In episode 3, centred on Lancashire, Dave returned to his roots in Morecambe Bay.
