A group of women completing 9,000 steps every day in February have hit their fundraising goal.
The Grasmere Women's Institute announced on Wednesday that they have raised £2000 for St Mary's Hospice in Ulverston - a day before their efforts come to an end.
The challenge is organised every year by the group of friends who regularly raise money for the hospice through a number of varied events.

The Institute said: "We’ve loved the challenge whatever the weather - honestly!"
Since February 2021, the group have brought in over £30,000, with this latest endeavour proving that they are not slowing down anytime soon.
The women chose to do 9,000 daily steps because, when they started the idea three years ago, £9,000 was the annual running cost of St Mary's.
