A group of amateur theatre performers are hoping to take up a four-day residency later this year.

The Grasmere Players are eyeing up a marathon stay for their summer production, which would likely take place between June 5 and 8.

However, they are relying on public involvement to make the dream a reality, calling on locals to get involved with the group.

The extent of their performance, and which play they decide to showcase to residents, depends entirely on cast availability.
