A south Cumbrian entrepreneur is aiming to expand her company to become "the commercial cleaning company that people think of in the North West".
Housekeeping Club director Maggie Ptasinska is seeking larger premises and more vehicles.
Operating from Kendal, Housekeeping Club specialises in cleaning the interiors of commercial properties and provides services across south Cumbria and north Lancashire.
Ms Ptasinska: "We are seeking larger premises to provide more storage, meeting rooms and somewhere for our staff to socialise."
Currently employing six part-timers, the company can increase its team to around 15 during the summer season.
She added: "We will be increasing the number of staff as the summer season approaches and, as we take on more contracts, we will be looking to recruit even further."
Housekeeping Club has been awarded a CHAS certificate of accreditation, which acknowledges the high standards of its health and safety procedures.
Ms Ptasinska said: "It shows we are operating correctly and taking our health and safety obligations seriously."
Having grown up in Poland, Ms Ptasinska moved to England as a teenager and studied at The Lakes School at Troutbeck Bridge.
The entrepreneur has worked in hospitality, sales, recruitment, and also served as an air hostess for a VIP charter airline operating from Stansted.
She said: “I always knew I wanted to achieve great things - I wanted to be out there, solving issues and thinking on my feet - but I had not yet found by vocation.”
But she discovered her passion for business when she moved back to Cumbria in February 2021 and identified the demand for cleaning services.
She said: “Running a business is what I am passionate about. I enjoy leadership and organising the operational side of the business is my forte."
She believes in maintaining a professional, tailor-made cleaning service for their clients.
Housekeeping Club focuses on cleaning commercial premises like office buildings, shops, and schools, and extends to tidying up after construction and renovation projects.
Ms Ptasinska said: "All our clients are of equal importance to us, regardless of the size of contract, and we treat every individual and business with respect and consideration."
The company aims to employ local people, and is also committed to offer wages above the national living wage.
Ms Ptasinska's focus is now on expansion into the South Lakes, Morecambe, Lancaster, and eventually Preston and Manchester.
