Kendal is set to be gripped by Beatlemania 60 years after the craze hit the nation.
A tribute band from Liverpool, The Mersey Beatles, will be performing at the Westmorland Hall on March 2 to coincide with the landmark anniversary of 'A Hard Day's Night'.
In 1964, The Beatles made their legendary big screen debut with the classic comedy and accompanied it with the now famous album.
Steven Howard, the 'Paul' of the group, said: "The album is one of The Beatles’ very best and one which captured them at the peak of their pop powers and we can’t wait to play it in full.
"Not only does the album feature such massive hits as Can’t Buy Me Love, A Hard Day’s Night and And I Love Her, but some real fan favourites such as I’m Happy Just To Dance With You and Any Time At All."
The Mersey Beatles have now been entertaining fans around the globe for 25 years, having also played over 600 times at the Cavern Club in Liverpool as the resident Beatles tribute act.
Steven is joined by Mark Bloor (John), Craig McGown (George) and Brian Ambrose (Ringo).
They will play the entire A Hard Day’s Night album in full at the Kendal show, before taking the audience through Sergeant Pepper, a walk down Abbey Road and a celebration of the Fab Four’s later work such as Revolution, Get Back and Hey Jude.
Mark added: “Together with the 60th anniversary of A Hard Day’s Night this year is the 25th anniversary of The Mersey Beatles – so it’s a double celebration.
“Together with the album anniversary we will be playing 25 other Beatles classics so there will be something for everyone."
Tickets for the show are available from the Better Box Office website, or by calling 0333 33 55055.
