AN ULVERSTON man will be unable to drive for 20 months after admitting to driving while over seven times a legal drug driving limit.
Paul Croasdell, of Almond Road, pleaded guilty to driving his Ford Transit van on July 24 last year on the A590 with 388 UG/L of Benzoylecgonine in his blood – the main metabolite of cocaine. The legal limit is 50 UG/L.
The 54-year-old also confessed to driving on the same occasion without due care and attention.
Magistrates at South Cumbria Magistrates Court on January 31 banned the man from driving and ordered that he undertake 90 hours of unpaid work as part of a 12-month community order.
