A road coming in and out of Kendal is currently being affected by heavy traffic.

The AA reported the disruption at around 1:03pm on Friday afternoon, which is impacting the A5284 Windermere Road.

A problem has caused large delays heading in both directions, particularly near the church.

There is also further disruption to the south of Kendal, with one lane closed on the A65 Lound Road.

This is due to water main work being conducted - the lane closure is in effect from A6 New Road to Nether Street.
