A group of people are looking to the past in the hope of inspiring the next generation of creative writers.
The team at Wordsworth Grasmere will be conducting a tour of libraries across Cumbria, providing free workshops for children over the half term period.
The sessions will give kids the chance to learn all about the changing seasons through songs, stories, crafts and creative writing inspired by the winter writing of William and Dorothy Wordsworth.
The tour will hit Morecambe Bay and Kendal on February 15, with stops also planned at Workington, Whitehaven, Keswick and Penrith.
For children up to the age of five, they are invited to the 'Rucksack of Rhymes' classes, which will explore the natural world in wintertime and showcase what life was like for the Wordsworths.
Older kids will be able to make collages based on observations made back in February 1802.
