A KENDAL man has been sentenced for drug driving with a major metabolite of cocaine in his system when driving on a busy main road.
Lewis Bentley, of Overdale Close was caught drug driving on the A6 Milnthorpe Road in his Ford Fiesta with namely 68 micrograms of Benzoylecgonine (BZE) in his blood. The legal limit is 50 micrograms.
The 20-year-old was fined £300 by magistrates at South Cumbria Magistrates Court on January 29.
He was also disqualified from driving for a period of 12 months and ordered to pay a £120 surcharge and £85 in court costs.
