A person driving through Arkholme was temporarily trapped in their car after a tree was blown during Storm Jocelyn.
Crews from Hornby and Carnforth Fire Stations were called out to the incident on Kirkby Lonsdale Road on Tuesday night at 7:23pm.
Firefighters discovered that the person had managed to free themselves from the vehicle but that they still needed medical attention.
Haemostatic gause, pressure bandages and oxygen was administered before the North West Ambulance Service arrived and took over casualty care.
The road was closed for part of the night while the police managed the area to ensure the vehicle was properly recovered and the tree removed.
