An annual pantomime is returning to the Lake District this week involving a cast of local actors.
The Lakes Players will be performing at the Lakes School Theatre at Troutbeck Bridge from Wednesday, January 24 until Sunday, January 28.
The organisers said: "This year the talented local cast will tell the tale of Sleeping Beauty with an enduring mix of comedy, music and dance intertwined with spectacular special effects, colourful costumes and sets, and the always incredible UV scene which never fails to amaze audiences."
Directed once again by Stewart Hart, the cast features Marie Lynchey as Beauty, Claire McKeever as Prince Hans, Rob Timms as the inimitable Muddles and Nicky Woods as Nigella the Cook.
Tickets are available on the door, with the show starting at 7pm on Wednesday, or online.
