A former presenter from BBC Breakfast has teamed up with Kendal Mountain Festival for 2024.
Louise Minchin is joining as a festival patron, describing herself as a keen adventurer, which makes her the perfect fit for the job.
She will be working alongside the festival team on tour, delivering talks in Caernarfon on February 28 and Kendal on May 15.
A spokesperson for the festival said: "We are honoured to welcome such an extraordinary individual into our community, whose dedication to adventure and passion for illuminating underrepresented stories is inspiring.
"We'll get to hear her incredible stories, including tales of freediving under the ice in the dark in Finland, swimming in the shark infested waters around Alcatraz and cycling across Argentina."
