Tim Farron has thanked Staveley's sub-postmaster for his service after he announced he would be leaving the role.
Graham Livesey announced that, following the fallout from the Horizon scandal, he would no longer be working for the Post Office.
Mr Livesey has been at the Beehive, an independent store and sub-post office, since 2009 but will be stopping the shop's post office service in July.

Mr Farron said: "Graham has provided a great service to the community in Staveley for such a long time.
“The Beehive is a fantastic local shop but Graham, like so many sub-postmasters, feels he has not received the support he needs from Post Office Limited, with the appalling Horizon scandal being the final straw.

“I am now urging Post Office Ltd to work to find a new home for the post office in the village so that local people don't miss out on these vital services.”
The MP for Westmorland and Lonsdale also raised the Horizon scandal and its impact on sub-postmasters’ faith in the organisation in Parliament on Monday night.
