PARKING spaces at the Gooseholme construction site for the flood prevention scheme will remain open for another 13 days.
The Environment Agency made 10 car parking spaces available on Thursday, December 21 when the site closed for the holidays.
Construction will resume on Monday, January 8.
A spokesperson for the Environment Agency said:
“We appreciate the challenges people face, finding car parking in the area whilst work is underway to deliver the flood scheme, and working with our contractors we have been able to reopen 10 parking spaces for use over the holidays.”
"When completed, the Kendal flood scheme will better protect better protect 1,480 homes and 1,150 homes when completed."
