A talented ten-year-old Kendal pupil has won MP Tim Farron's annual Christmas card competition.
Anna Kay, a Dean Gibson RC Primary School student, emerged victorious with a distinctive design of a festive Herdy sheep.
Anna's design outshone nearly 1,000 entries from various South Lakes schools.
More than 40,000 cards featuring her winning design are now being distributed across the MP's Westmorland and Lonsdale constituency.
This year's runners up were Isobel Gill from Arnside National Primary and Barnaby Tyson from Ambleside CE Primary.
A design by Florence Harrod from Levens CE Primary School will feature on a second card.
Mr Farron said: "The standard of card entries was the highest it's ever been, with so many wonderful designs to choose from.
"I’m delighted to have picked Anna's card and I’m thrilled that her work will now be seen and admired by tens of thousands of South Lakes residents.
“I want to say a massive thank you to everyone who took part in this year’s Christmas card competition and wish you all a very happy Christmas.”
