A pop-up creative writing class is coming to the Lake District as a free Christmas treat.
The session is due to take place at the Wordsworth Grasmere Museum on Wednesday, December 20 from 2:40pm until 3:30pm.
The winter-themed poetry workshop will use the works of William and Dorothy Wordsworth as a starting point to introduce the participants to the world of writing and its history with the Lakes.
The organisers said: "We will explore how sound creates a sense of place in our writing and how poets use metaphors to re-imagine the living world and transform our understanding of it."
For those interested, there is no need to book ahead and there is no desire for previous writing experience either.
You can simply arrive at the museum next week, with the session suitable for people over the age of 16.
