Children in Ulverston will get the chance to meet Santa before the big day next week.
Father Christmas will be making an appearance at Ulverston Market on Thursday, December 21 from 11:30am until 2:30pm.
There will also be an opportunity for children to have their faces painted at no cost.
The Ulverston pop-up library will be hosting a crafts area at the same time, providing a source of free entertainment whilst schools are closed.
The organisers said: "Bring the whole family and join in the fun.
"The children can meet Santa and let him know what they'd like for Christmas - hopefully there will be no last minute surprises!"
