Students from Kendal College are performing to over 1,800 school children this week to get them in the festive spirit.
Year Two pupils from the college's Theatre Arts course have been bringing their version of the Jungle Book to the Box Theatre.
The large number of keen audience members are coming from 14 schools and a local home-schooled network.
A spokesperson from the college said: "It was an incredible performance, full of vibrant characters and set design, original music and lots of laughter."
The performers and college have already been thanked by local primary schools for inviting them to attend.
"Always a privilege for our youngsters to watch something so well crafted in such an intimate setting," a spokesperson from Stramongate Primary School added.
