A church service in Sedbergh on Sunday will premiere an updated version of a traditional carol.
The ceremony is taking place at St Andrew's Church from 6pm for the annual Sedbergh Town Carol Service.
The headline performance will be the new setting of 'The First Nowell', which has been created by renowned composer Bob Chilcott.
Church choirs across the country will be singing the new version throughout the festive period.
'The First Nowell' is said to have Cornish origins and its existence can be dated back to the 18th century.
Originally from Plymouth, Bob Chilcott is now based in Oxfordshire and has been a full-time composer and conductor since 1997.
Having conducted choirs in over 30 countries, Chilcott's work is now headed for Sedbergh as a special treat for locals.
