An accident has taken place on the M6 between Kendal and Tebay which has left the motorway down to one lane.
Cumbria Police have revealed that a car was involved in an accident on the motorway heading in a northernly direction.
Traffic is said to be queuing as a result, with the area impacted between junctions 37 and 38 connecting the A684 and A685.
