NATIONAL Trust rangers have been unable to get through to Tarn Hows near Coniston due to abandoned cars.
The team at National Trust Beatrix Potter's Hill Top that the road is currently impassible and they are currently working with the relevant agencies to get them removed.
The snow and ice conditions are still badly affecting the area on the minor roads.
A spokesperson for Cumbria Road Watch said: "When leaving your car it is vital that every effort is made to get it collect as soon as possible.
"There are many roads still like this, this is just an example of one. Remember that emergency’s service vehicles may need to get through."
