Renowned outdoor chef Harrison Ward, also known as Fell Foodie, has been overjoyed by the reception of his first book, ‘Cook Out.’
Released last month, the cookbook has already climbed the ranks to become an Amazon best-seller.
Cumbrian Harrison's journey began in 2016 when he decided to change his life, leading to a career as an outdoor cook, media personality, and mental health speaker.
His cookbook introduces a mouth-watering collection of recipes made for outdoor cooking.
Dishes range from American-style pancakes, pork belly ramen to unique renditions of classics like rhubarb crumble and apple fritters.
The book's launch event at Force Café in Ambleside was attended by outdoor and cooking personalities such as TV’s Phil Vickery.
Harrison Ward said: "It's so bizarre seeing it out in the world. It's really something I’d never have imagined having the chance to do.
“Celebrating the launch in a room full of friends, family and those I’ve worked with past and present was an emotional moment as they have all played their part. Not only in the creation of this book but in my personal battles with depression and alcoholism. I owe them all so much.
“A massive thank you to Vertebrate Publishing for taking the chance on me, Lisa Edwards, my literary agent, who believed in me the moment we met, Kenny Block for being the photographer and a friend, every bookshop and retailer that has stocked ‘Cook Out’ and to all those who show support continuously on the wild journey.”
The book is available for purchase at Adventure Books online, on Amazon, and many bookshops.
