Kendal Golf Club have launched a fundraiser in the hope they can earn £5000 for new equipment.
The hope is to assist the work of greenkeeper 'Dickie' with a turf cutter, something they have been hoping to do since the pandemic.
A spokesperson said: "I know now is not the greatest time to be asking for money so any contribution large or small will be hugely appreciated & every penny we raise will be put towards buying this much needed piece of machinery."
The club appealed to those who use their site for walking to contribute as much as possible to keep the community asset alive.
"We know that the new tees won't improve those views [you get when walking] but the constant improvements we are planning on making here will help keep the club strong & stable for future generations to enjoy."
