Royal Northern Sinfonia is embarking on a festive tour within the North's exquisite churches.
The tour, part of the Christmas at The Glasshouse series, includes performances at Kendal Parish Church and St. Cuthbert's Church in Carlisle on December 2, both at 7.30pm.
The melodious team, led by leader Maria Włoszczowska and co-leader Kyra Humphreys, will showcase an atmospheric collection of melodies from masters such as J.S. Bach and Telemann, as well as more contemporary composers like Huw Watkins and Eric Whitacre.
The musical line-up is designed to warm hearts under the glow of candlelight.
The festive joy continues to Musselburgh, Sunderland, Ripon, Selby, Durham, Berwick-upon-Tweed, Hexham, Darlington, and Alnwick in the first week of December.
This year, more venues are being visited than ever, including A Choral Nativity in Hexham, Newcastle, and Hartlepool by the Sinfonia's Chorus.
This unique retelling of the Christmas tale celebrates their 50th birthday.
Tickets and information are available on The Glasshouse's website.
