A 'repair café' in Kirkby Lonsdale that encouraged locals to fix their belongings has closed indefinitely.
The organiser of the group, Issy Bradshaw, explained on Tuesday that the volunteer collective was coming to an end, including this weekend's session.
Ms Bradshaw took the opportunity to thank all the people who took part as 'repairers' and the members of the public who visited over the past year.
She said: "I'm afraid that I do not have the time or skill to give that the Repair Café deserves.
"I want to give a huge shout-out to the Repairers and volunteers who have given up their Saturdays to pass on their skills and talents."
The café was based at Lunesdale Hall, running monthly sessions where people could bring in their damaged clothes to be mended.
They also served drinks and hot food, raising money to keep the group going up until this week.
"It wouldn't have been possible without their [the volunteers'] enthusiasm," Ms Bradshaw added.
"I also want to thank everyone who came and joined in - bringing their items for repair or their energy to the café."
She went on to say that, if there was someone who was willing to take up the mantle and continue running the group, she would be happy to help in any way she could.
The group was designed to help people save money, made more vital during the Cost of Living Crisis.
The aims were to show the community how the lifespans of products could be extended, simultaneously decreasing the environmental burden of throwing clothes away.
Following the social media post that announced the news, several people were quick to show their support for the work the group has done, as well as encouraging anyone to come forward to keep the sessions running.
