A pub in Carnforth has announced that it is closing its premises following the departure of its manager.
The Canal Turn, on Lancaster Road, closed on Sunday, November 5, due to the amount of work and investment needed to make reported improvements.
According to a closure notice posted on the pub door, an Environmental Health Officer (EHO) had visited the business and decided that 'serious work' was required to make it viable once again.
Lancaster City Council have since told the Westmorland Gazette that they were not responsible for the closure notice.
The tenants for the past five months used the opportunity to thank staff for their hard work and customers for their continued support.
