A man from Ulverston has won £2500 after showing his support to the local hospice.
The gentleman, who wished to remain nameless, won the top prize on Friday following his participation in a raffle done by St Mary's Hospice.
Through the raffle, the charity raised £27,000, which will be used to treat patients across Furness and the South Lakes region.
Lottery Manager Clare Shields turned up on the man's doorstep to surprise him with a cheque for the hefty sum.
Each £1 entry helped, and will continue to help, the hospice to continue offering specialised supportive and palliative care for people with life limiting conditions throughout South Cumbria.
