After a recent move to the heart of Kendal, H&H Land & Estate has reported increased buyer and seller activity.
Alex Bibby, Kendal Office Manager, said: “The market is still clearly more cautious today than it was before interest rates went up, and prices are slightly down, but there are many cash buyers looking for houses, mortgage rates have stabilised, and people are still buying and selling properties in the North West.
"Rightmove figures for our LA8 and LA9 South Lakes postcode areas show that, as of October 1, 2023, there were 349 available properties in the area, which is 80 per cent higher than the 193 available on October 1, 2022."
Rightmove research also revealed a 50 per cent increase in price reductions between September 2022 (35) and 2023 (55), reinforcing the importance of apt pricing.
Alex said: “The advice we can offer on pricing, preparation and presentation is fundamental to our marketing of any property, and it’s the basis for a successful sale.
"For buyers our knowledge of the market is second to none, so please don’t hesitate to come and talk to us."
The company operates from several offices around Cumbria, including Kendal, Carlisle, Penrith, Staveley, and Cockermouth.
