A CHOIR will perform at Kendal Unitarian Chapel on Branthwaite Brow in aid of the Schoolroom restoration appeal on Friday, October 27.
The K Shoes Male Voice Choir will present an evening of traditional, folk, pop and songs from the shows.
Last November, worshippers narrowly avoided catastrophe when a section of the Grade-II listed Schoolroom building ceiling plummeted to the floor inches from where they were drinking tea.
The building then needed a costly repair job.
The treasurer John Campbell said that it could have been worse as the roof collapsed 'without any warning.'
Tickets for the evening, which starts at 7pm, are £10 including refreshments. They are available from choir members, 5 New Shambles and the Unitarian Chapel Office.
There will also be a raffle.
