Kirkby Stephen is set to mark 670 years of being a market town with a special celebration.
An event will be taking place on Saturday, October 28, and marks the anniversary of when Roger de Clifford was granted a charter to hold a market and two fairs in the town.
A procession will start at 9:50am, carrying a replica of the original charter, which will be brought to the Cloisters.
There will be a display in the parish church all weekend about Kirkby Stephen's two charters.
Visitors will get to see medieval stewards and bailiffs, a reading of the proclamation and troubadours from Upper Eden, and visit a medieval market stall.
