A bookshop in Ambleside has launched a new monthly newsletter to give people a taste of the Lake District.

Fred's Bookshop will release the first edition of 'Words from our Lake District bookshop' on Friday, October 20.

The newsletter will include pictures of the area through the seasons, along with the best of local news.

Book recommendations and reviews will also play a part in the publication, going through the releases that people in the region are enjoying the most.

Those who want to support will the business will also learn about the latest arrivals and exclusive content heading for the shop.
