A new initiative has been launched to give carers in the South Lakes free cinema tickets.
The scheme, organised by the Brewery Arts in Kendal, is called the 'Pay it Forward Fund' and is set to make a huge difference to the lives of unpaid carers in the region.
When purchasing a cinema ticket, the team at the Brewery Arts will ask customers to 'pay it forward', which will result in tickets being given to those who are directly supported by Carer Support South Lakes.
A spokesperson for Carer Support said: "What a heart-warming way to show gratitude and appreciation to the incredible unpaid carers in our community.
"This initiative not only recognises their selfless dedication but also offers them a well-deserved break and entertainment."
