A MAN in his 20s has died following a crash on the M6 yesterday evening.
Police are investigating the fatal crash that occurred yesterday evening (October 16) on the M6 southbound at High Wreay.
The man was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Subsequently, a 31-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving.
He remains in police custody.
Officers were contacted at 7:53pm to the report of a one-vehicle crash, involving a white BMW.
It is believed the BMW entered the M6 motorway from junction 42 and headed south.
The incident caused a temporary road closure, with the road having since reopened.
