St John's Ambulance is seeking youth leaders in Kendal to support its cadet unit to become 'bigger and better'.
The call for volunteers invites adults above the age of 18 to help teach lifesaving skills to young people ranging from 10 to 17 years old.
By committing a minimum of two hours weekly, volunteers will make a difference to the cadets and their community.
The teaching role isn't solely about giving, with volunteers developing alongside the cadets.
Volunteers will gain essential communication, listening and presentation skills as well as a boost in confidence.
They will have the opportunity to receive training in First Aid, Mental Health First Aid, and Adventure skills. There will be a chance to take on more advanced leadership roles with training, all while being supported by the rest of the team.
Under leadership, young volunteers will develop their potential, learning vital first aid skills that they can deliver at events and activities around Cumbria.
They will gain confidence, make friends, and engage in community and social change.
The cadet unit runs every Friday between 7pm to 9pm at the St John's Ambulance Building in Sandes Ave, Kendal.
