A FOLK story is to be performed in Burneside by an amateur production company in the New Year.
Ali Baba and the Forty Thieves will be acted by the Burneside Amateur Theatrical Society at the Bryce Institute between January 5–13 2024.
The production tells the story of hero Ali Baba, who is down on his luck and in love with Ariana who is a slave girl in Ali’s brother’s household.
However, the villainous Sheikh Mustafa Rash and his band of forty thieves try to scupper his plans.
