A drumming collective from Kendal has been awarded funding from the town council, meaning their services are now free to the community.
Drum Nation were joined by Mayor Julia Dunlop this weekend at Kendal Music Festival to share the good news.
The group will use the funding to enable local organisations such as schools, charities and local groups to access the band’s services free of charge.
Annie Allison, one of the band members, said: "We bring so much joy to our community and are delighted to be able to offer the people of Kendal the opportunity to have the band play at their event.
"We are aware of just how many fantastic groups and organizations are on our doorstep providing support to a wide range of people within our community."
The deadline for applications for a free gig is Monday, November 20, and can be submitted through their website.
