Roadworks are set to take place on Kendal's A684 from 8am tomorrow.
As part of the Safer Roads programme works, there are plans for vegetation clearance to take place on the A684 between the M6 junction 37 eastwards to the county boundary with North Yorkshire.
The works were planned by Westmorland and Furness council and involve tending to any overhanging vegetation and cutting back any low hanging tree branches to enhance visibility and improve safety along the route.
A spokesperson for Westmorland and Furness Council said: "The works will be moving along the stretch between Kendal and Scotch Jeans Killington and will now be taking place of Thursday and Friday this week, most likely between 8am and 5pm.
"Traffic light controls will be in place."
