Over 400 kinship carers across Cumbria are to be celebrated this week as part of a national campaign.
Kinship Care Week 2023 launched on Monday, championing people who are raising children who are not their own.
To coincide with the event, Cumbria Fostering and Adoption are running public sessions across the county.
They are visiting Ulverston, Carlisle, Whitehaven and Kendal between Monday and Thursday.
Kinship care is when a child lives or spends the majority of their time with a relative or friend because their parents are not able to look after them.
If you would like to attend one of the events, you can email the Kinship Care Team at SGOsupport@cumbria.gov.uk.
