This year's Kendal Torchlight Carnival saw a spectacular drone display for the first time ever as part of its famous annual procession.
The carnival atmosphere and performers came to the town yesterday (Saturday, September 23) with the procession being vehicle free this year.
Since its beginnings in 1970, the majority of creations have been by local businesses, community groups and organisations with the event celebrating local talent and creativity.
This year was no exception with an amazing drone light display as a thank you to all who attended the procession and its volunteers.
The colourful drones moved in sync to form the words 'Kendal Torch Light Thanks' before morphing into a love heart and the famous torch symbol.
A spokesperson for Kendal Torchlight said: "This was a first for us and we're really happy to have pulled that off for Kendal.
"Thank you to everyone who made the event happen and to everyone who got involved."
In order to secure the event's future, Kendal Torchlight relies on volunteers and donations. To donate , please visit the Kendal Torchlight Carnival's Go Fund Me page.
