The Lakes International Comic Art Festival makes a triumphant return to the Windermere Jetty Museum with a host of free activities for families.
The museum will host Little LICAF, dedicated to children under 12 years old, introducing them to the comic art world through a series of workshops, competitions, and events.
The festival will also showcase the Spider-man origins and the work of emerging comic artists.
Renowned cartoonist Marc Jackson, famed for his creations for BEANO, Aces Weekly, and HEY KIDS COMICS!, will be among the leading figures facilitating the activities.
Scheduled for Saturday, September 30 and Sunday, October 1, the workshops are not only free but also encompass games such as drawing challenges, badge-making, and self-led activities like a LEGO® mini figure trail.
Caroline Robinson, Head of Innovation and Business Development at Lakeland Arts, said: “Following on from our summer of LEGO® themed family fun we are excited to welcome back the awesome Little LICAF team.
"Parking is free on site for visitors to the museum and we have a kids menu, highchairs for small ones and space to park buggies, plus activities like the trail and our Codebreaker challenge for older kids.”
