A Paddington Bear with 'great sentimental value' has been lost in Cumbria, with an appeal launched to help find it.
The toy was misplaced during a recent trip to the county and Audrey Elliott has asked for assistance from the community.
She said it was either lost in Appleby or Kirkby Lonsdale.
Mrs Elliott explained: "Paddington was bought for my mum in 2006 when she was in hospital.
"She was in about five months but unfortunately didn't survive so I adopted him."
Since then, the teddy has gone on all her holidays, including trips to America and Italy.
"He has recently been with me throughout my treatment for bowel cancer which I am slowly recovering from," she said.
"Although he is only six inches tall and a toy, he is very important and I do hope he is waiting to come home."
