An award-winning tourist attraction in Cumbria has unveiled plans to immerse people in the county's past.
Wordsworth Grasmere, winner of the Cumbria Tourism award 2023 for 'Small Visitor Attraction of the Year', are recreating the experience of a tourist from 1792.
The event will take place on September 9 and will involve a historical meal and guided walk up Helm Crag.
Jeff Cowton, Principal Curator and Head of Learning of Wordsworth Grasmere, said: "In re-walking this route, we plan to gain a greater appreciation of what the early Lake District explorers did, and how they did it."
The recreation will revolve around the accounts of Captain Joseph Budworth, who toured the Lakes in the 18th century.
Tickets cost £30 for the meal, curated by food historian John Crouch, with the event starting at 12pm.
Tickets can be booked here.
