A SKIING and snowboarding school is hosting an open day for anyone over the age of seven to try the slope for free.

Kendal Snowsports Club on Canal Head North is holding taster lessons for beginners all day on September 7 from 10:00 am – 16:00 pm (last lesson at 3:15 pm).

All equipment will be provided on the day, but members of the public should wear warm weather clothing such as a long-sleeved sweatshirt, long trousers and long socks, as well as gloves.

Waterproofed clothing is also preferable as there is a sprinkler system on the slope.

The free lessons are not for present members.
