A junior cast is set to perform a new 'Alice in Wonderland' musical in Burneside in September.
The performance, organised by the Burneside Amateure Theatrical Society (BATS), will take place at the Bryce Institute.
The new musical will be led by performers aged between seven and 16, who are all members of the junior society.
Directors Helen Fothergill and Becke Skull said: "We wanted to really reflect the talent of our junior members and showcase their acting, singing and dancing skills.
"After all, they are the future of BATS and they are all extremely talented children who will hopefully join us for future productions."
The musical will follow the original story penned by Lewis Carroll in 1865 and includes all the beloved characters that families have come to know.
As well as the main cast, behind the scenes work has also stemmed from the Junior BATS, with former member Abigail Winn joining the directing team.
Mrs Fothergill and Mrs Skull added: "Abigail has been a member of BATS for 8 years with her first stage performance in Showstoppers' 'Around the World in 80 Musicals' back in 2015.
"Now an adult member of BATS, she has directed the show alongside us and played an active role in the production of this musical and will hopefully continue with BATS for many years to come."
The Junior BATS members have been rehearsing since the end of June, working through their summer holidays to make the show as spectacular as possible.
They will perform two shows on Saturday, September 2, running at 2pm and 7pm.
Tickets are available at https://www.batsburneside.co.uk/ticket-box-office.html priced at £10 for adults and £8.00 for children.
