A CLIMBER was airlifted to hospital after a 'large fall'.
Langdale Ambleside Mountain Rescue Team (LAMRT) and The Great North Air Ambulance Service were called out to Pavey Ark after the incident.
Due to the casualty's location a winch from a coastguard helicopter was required.
After being shuttled up into the helicopter, the climber was flown away for further treatment.
Incident 71 saw ten members of the LAMRT team on the scene for a total of five hours. They were joined by five Kendal Mountain Rescue Team members as well as Great North Air Ambulance and Bristow S92 COASTGUARD.
