A Windermere hotel is celebrating after winning the Wedding Venue of the Year Award.
The prestigious Cumbria Tourism Awards took place on July 5 at Castle Green Hotel in Kendal.
Lindeth Howe Hotel says it is overjoyed to have won the award and signifies the culmination of many years of hard work and dedication by the whole team at the hotel.
Deputy general manager Clare Bateman and one-half of the wedding team said: "Firstly we would like to thank the team at Cumbria Tourism who organised the awards. It was a fantastic night which was testament to the hard work and dedication of the team at CT.
"Our win last night would have been unachievable without the support of the entire team at the hotel who work so diligently day in and day out to ensure our guests have a wonderful time with us.
"We have been absolutely blown away by the support we have received, not only from our own team at the hotel but from all our couples who make our job so easy by being so lovely and an absolute joy to work with."
Liz Darling Mortimer, Guest Services Manager, the other half of the wedding team, said: "We would like to pass our heartfelt congratulations on to the other finalists, Storrs Hall, Merewood Hotel & Low Wood, all outstanding venues in their own right. What a lineup!
"It was such a strong category, we are thrilled to stand tall and proud with such good company. We always have been and will continue to be 100% committed to ensuring our couples have a stress-free wedding, from the planning to the big day itself and in order to celebrate our big win last night we have launched a special offer with an amazing 20% off a wedding in January, February or March next year.
"Our wedding team work with the Bride and Groom on the actual day. When we say we are with our couples every step of the way, we really mean it! Our only goal is for our couples to be happy with their choices and trust goes a long way to achieving that.
"This ethos along with our unique decor and fantastic team helped us win last night, and when you have a winning combination like that, why change a thing? We certainly won't be."
