Only eight hours after coming off the fell from a call out to help a paraglider in trouble on Great How Crags, Coniston Mountain Rescue Team was called out again.
This time, the team raced to the Old Man of Coniston at around 3:33am after a call from Cumbria Police.
Reports said a lady on the east side of Coniston Water had seen a flashing light on the top of the Old Man of Coniston.
Coniston Mountain Rescue Team knew there had been several wild campers in the area on the previous evening, but felt duty-bound to investigate.
One vehicle was despatched with two members onboard to check the summit.
As the sun came up, nothing was found.
The call out was attended by six team members for 1 hour and 22 minutes.
