NEWLYWEDS who found love on a dating app have enjoyed an 'amazing' wedding in the Lake District.
Jane Alice Tideswell, a 32-year-old from Kendal, has married Aiden Pj Martin, a 36-year-old from Havant, Portsmouth.
Jane, a postwoman in the Windermere office, met Aiden, a manager at Timpson in Morrisons, online.
"Aiden was living in Fleetwood, Blackpool and wanted to move further up north to Cumbria," said Jane.
"He hadn't been very happy where he was and was hoping to find someone to settle with, and so was I."
Before the couple met in person, they were on the phone 'all the time.'
Jane said: "We just clicked, and when we did eventually meet, he felt like home to me."
"He moved to a live-in chef job in Windermere before eventually moving into my house in Kendal."
Jane describes Aiden as a 'very honest' and 'genuine man.'
Aiden said he likes that they have the same 'life goals of family and marriage' and that he is able to 'be himself with Jane at all times.'
The couple got engaged on a balcony in Pineda de Mar in Spain and married on May 28 2023, at Yew Tree Farm in Coniston.
They had 45 guests at the ceremony and 90 all together.
Jane said: "The day was wonderful. We were saying I do at 2pm, and we had spent the previous two days decorating the barn and marquee so the morning of the wedding was quite relaxed.
"Aiden spent most of the morning finishing a few things in the barn and then eventually greeting the guests as they arrived.
"My eldest son Jonah was our ring bearer, and he did the most amazing job even though he is only 4.
"After the ceremony, we just wanted a good old knees up.
"The sunset and the fires were lit to sit around and look at the view. It was truly perfect."
The couple had a 'familymoon' with their kids and Jane's mother with a 'short' caravan break to Marton Mere Blackpool.
Jane said: "Aidens mum, brother Simon and Dave came down for the day on Wednesday, and we all went to Blackpool Zoo. We will save up for a holiday abroad to celebrate, but we wouldn't want to go without our kids."
